Why Financial Coaching?
For over 30 years, I’ve been coaching and mentoring people—first as a U.S. Army leader guiding soldiers, and later through my work in the financial world. After earning my accounting degree, my focus turned to finances, where I’ve spent the last 20 years as an accountant, tax preparer, CFO, and now, a financial coach.
But my story started much earlier. I grew up with humble beginnings, working on family farms, buying my own school clothes, and figuring out how to make it on my own. Money management wasn’t something my parents talked about, and because of that, I had to learn through trial and error. Today, I’m determined to change that for my children—and for the people I work with.
Somewhere along the way, conversations about money became taboo, like politics or religion. We quietly go it alone, hoping we’ll end up okay—hoping we’ll be able to retire comfortably. But hope is not a plan. I’ve seen too many people reach retirement age only to discover they can’t afford to stop working. That reality is what drives me every day to help others take control of their financial future through proactive financial planning.
My mission is simple: to share the lessons I’ve learned, the mistakes I’ve made, and the expertise I’ve gained—so you don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can build a plan that gives you confidence, clarity, and the freedom to achieve your dreams of financial success.
