Helping you reach your goals and dreams, one comprehensive plan at a time.

U.S Army Veteran
I joined the Army right out of high school as a 31U Signal Support Systems Specialist (fancy lingo for a radio operator). After basic and Advanced Individualized Training (AIT), my first duty station was Fort Campbell, KY, Air Assault! I was there for a year and then PCS'd (Permanent Change of Station) to Ft. Wainwright, AK. I spent 4 1/2 years at Ft. Wainwright with a six month deployment to Sinai, Egypt as part of the Multi-National Force Observers contingent located near Sharm El -Sheikh.
When I deployed to Egypt my daughter was 7-days old and that was a difficult time for a new marriage and father.
I came home to a mountain of credit card debt that wasn't there when I left and orders to report to Ft. Bragg, NC enroute to Egypt for another year. I declined those orders with less that a year on my tour and made plans to attend college. As my plans didn't coincide with my wife's, we went down the path to divorce. I thought $20k in credit cards were expensive😮 , but nothing compared to attorney fees.
I did go back to college but in my home state of Wisconsin and obtained a double bachelors degree in Accounting and Business Administration with a Finance emphasis while serving in the WI Army National Guard. I did have to put college on hold for a bit when Operation Iraqi Freedom called for my Guard Unit.

For over 30 years, I’ve been coaching and mentoring people—first as a U.S. Army leader guiding soldiers, and later through my work in the financial world. After earning my accounting degree, my focus turned to finances, where I’ve spent the last 20 years as an accountant, tax preparer, CFO, and now, a financial coach.
But my story started much earlier. I grew up with humble beginnings, working on family farms, buying my own school clothes, and figuring out how to make it on my own. Money management wasn’t something my parents talked about, and because of that, I had to learn through trial and error. Today, I’m determined to change that for my children—and for the people I work with.
Somewhere along the way, conversations about money became taboo, like politics or religion. We quietly go it alone, hoping we’ll end up okay—hoping we’ll be able to retire comfortably. But hope is not a plan. I’ve seen too many people reach retirement age only to discover they can’t afford to stop working. That reality is what drives me every day to help others take control of their financial future through proactive financial planning.
My mission is simple: to share the lessons I’ve learned, the mistakes I’ve made, and the expertise I’ve gained—so you don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can build a plan that gives you confidence, clarity, and the freedom to achieve your dreams of financial success.
